The Sequoia Foodie Fest promotes the incredible diversity and quality of Central California's agricultural produce. Tulare County, home of the Sequoia Foodie Fest, is one of the most fertile and productive places on the planet. The array of items grown here is truly astounding - everything from more varieties of citrus than most people can name to grapes (think wine and raisins), nuts, milk, cream and cheese. Blessed with one of the longest growing seasons in the US, Tulare County is home to an increasing number of boutique and organic farmers pr
oducing world-class fruits and vegetables.
Billed as 'California's Most Delicious Adventure', the Foodie Fest showcases national and local celebrity chefs in cooking demonstrations and contests in Kitchen Stadium throughout the weekend.Foodie Fest will also feature local wine, beer and spirits tasting along with food sampling.
Proceeds from the Sequoia Foodie Fest benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias, an after school program serving over 1,600 kids a day in 16 clubs in Exeter, Visalia, Farmersville, Tulare, Porterville and Ivanhoe. Instead of heading home to an empty house, kids can go to a Boys & Girls Club and find friends, fun and success. Boys & Girls Clubs provide programs that expose kids to a wide variety of activities that are designed to be interesting and life changing. Whether it is sculpting in the art room or getting help with homework, our Clubs offer hope and opportunity.
